Hodges Doughty & Carson PLLC represents public entities throughout the state of Tennessee in both litigation and non-litigation matters. These include claims related to the Governmental Tort Liability Act, various regulatory matters (federal and state), Sunshine Law and Public Record disputes, procurement and business related activities, eminent domain, civil rights, discrimination, equal opportunity employment and education. Over the past ten (10) years, the firm has represented both county and municipal governmental entities, primarily throughout East Tennessee, including sheriff's department, utility boards, county commissions, school boards, election commissions, highway departments, ambulance services and related service components of county and municipal governments. Our attorneys have lectured frequently on matters related to governmental entity representation and may also represent individuals with claims related to public entity matters in non-conflict situations.
