Kaitlyn's Areas of Practice
Kaitlyn received her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Psychology in 2015, summa cum laude, from the University of Tennessee. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2018. During law school, Kaitlyn served as the Articles Editor of the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy and authored a case note that was published in the 2016 Winter Edition of the Journal. She also received the CALI excellence award for earning the top grade in her Advanced Appellate Advocacy class. Before joining Hodges, Doughty and Carson in 2019, Kaitlyn served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable J. Steven Stafford, the presiding judge of the Western Section of the Tennessee Court of Appeals. During her clerkship Kaitlyn worked on over sixty appellate opinions, thereby gaining a practiced understanding of the Tennessee Rules of both Appellate and Civil Procedure.
When not in the office, Kaitlyn enjoys visiting her family in Chattanooga, spending time with friends, and being outside with her dogs. She also enjoys movies, cooking, cheering on the Vols, and exploring new spots around Knoxville.
